It was also the occasion for the Lodge to be presented with a Patrons Certificate from Middlesex Teddies for Loving Care for their continued support for the charity. The Lodhge’s most recent generous donation of £1000 gave them Patron status. The Certificate was accompanied by the additional presentation of a TLC Teddy. This contribution would pay for 80 teddies per year over the next five years bringing comfort to children admitted to paediatric units in hospitals across the Province of Middlesex including Northwick Park, Hillingdon, North, West and Central Middlesex hospitals, Ashford, Ealing as well as the Shooting Star Children’s hospice at Hampton.

This very generous donation from Cedars of Lebanon Lodge No 4317 will pay for over 80 teddy bears per year, or 400 teddy bears over the coming five-year period, bringing comfort to children admitted to paediatric hospital units across the Province of Middlesex, including Northwick Park, Hillingdon, North, West and Central Middlesex, Ashford, Ealing hospitals and the Shooting Stars children’s hospice at Hampton. Every child admitted is given a TLC 10” teddy bear which they get to keep and take home with them.

There are 48 regional TLC programmes across England and Wales that provide teddies for local Accident & Emergency departments (A&E). Over the past twenty-four years more than 3.5 million teddy bears have been given to children who found themselves within the 300 A&E hospital departments which are supported by the TLC programme. Over the last 20 years Middlesex Masons have delivered over 32000 teddy bears as part of the TLC charity.

If you would like to find out more about the Teddies for Loving Care charity or how you or your Lodge / Chapter can support this worthy charity, or even how to become patrons, please do not hesitate to contact the Middlesex TLC Representative : campbell.caraher@googlemail.com “
