W. Bro Ian Ferguson PAGStdB, APGM with Bro Pratik Patel – and W. Bro Marek Wojcik WM
The Brethren of Richmond Hill Lodge No 6698 continued their 75th anniversary celebrations with yet another special meeting on Thursday 9th November 2023 with the initiation of Bro Pratik Patel which had some very special participants who were visiting the Lodge. W. Bro Ian Freguson PAGStB APGM and W. Bro Matthew Eaton PSGD and APGM in the Province of Buckinghamshire both of whom were attending the meeting for the presentation of 50th Service Certificates.
During the ceremony of Initiation both APGM’s participated with W. Bro Ian presenting the Enter Apprentices Apron to Bro Pratik and W. Bro Matthew presenting the Charity Column in the north east corner much to everyone’s delight. This made it a very special evening for Bro Pratik and also those present at the meeting. Not all Initiates can say they had two APGM’s taking part in their initiation ceremony.
A Double Fifty
There followed another special moment when the two Grand Officers of the Lodge were presented with their 50th Year Service Certificates. These two were W Bro Patrick Gray PJGD and W. Bro Roy Serle PJGD who had both been Initiated, Passed and Raised together in Aquarius Lodge No 3113. W. Bro Patrick being a member of Richmond Hill Lodge and W. Bro Roy being a past member now living in Buckingham. It was agreed for them to have their Certificates presented to them at the meeting.
W. Bro Ian Ferguson gave a resume of W. Bro Patrick’s personal and masonic career congratulating him on all he had achieved not only in his personal life but during his 50 distinguished years in Freemasonry. He then presented W. Bro Patrick with his Certificate and lapel badge.
W. Bro Matthew Eaton PSGD APGM (Bucks) was visiting to present W. Bro Roy Serle with his 50th Year Service Certificate. W. Bro Matthew kindly agreed to attend and present Bro Roy with his certificate and proceeded to give a resume of his long and distinguished career serving in the Metropolitan Police and also the service he had given to Freemasonry during the past 50 years. He then presented him with his certificate.
