A Registered Charity whose sole objective is to supply teddies to A&E units of local hospitals for the medical staff to give to children who are in severe distress where the staff feel that a teddy to cuddle will alleviate that distress and assist them to treat the child which may well be life threatening.
THE CHILDREN TAKE THE TEDDIES HOME WITH THEM
Last year some 3,000 teddies were delivered to the hospitals.
The scheme is funded by local Freemasons, however, any donations by clubs and individuals are welcome.
At the present the scheme provides teddies to seven hospitals in Middlesex: Central, West and North Middlesex, Hillingdon, Northwick Park, Chase Farm and Ealing Hospitals, as well as The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice in Hampton Hill.
