W Bros David Pearson PAGDC (IM) and Adam Helman PProvAGDC (WM)
In May 2001 W Bro Adam Helman completed his first term of office as WM of Harrow Lodge No 1310 and installed his successor, W Bro David Pearson, who had already served as WM of his Mother Lodge, Shanghai Tuscan No 1027 in Metropolitan Grand Lodge.
Since then much has happened in the life of this 153-years-old Lodge, most significantly its amalgamation in 2010 with Unity and Friendship Lodge No 8224 and Temple of Harrow Lodge No 8287, forming Harrow Temple in Unity Lodge No 1310 (HTiU).
On 2 May 2023 W Bro Pearson was afforded the privilege of installing W Bro Helman for his second tour of duty in the Chair. That privilege was granted by the absence of the reigning WM, W Bro Malcolm Gwyn, who was unavoidably committed to the very happy event of the birth that day of a grandson.
During the 153 years of its existence HTiU within the separate units pre-amalgamation has sponsored daughter Lodges, Harrow Progress Lodge No 5964 and Old Gaytonians Lodge No 7855. There is also a granddaughter Lodge in Ruislip St Martins Lodge No 9125. Each of these four Lodges traditionally invites the WM or his representative from the other three to act as Wardens and Inner Guard at their Installation meetings, thus seeking to “keep it in the family”.
A thoroughly enjoyable installation meeting was followed by a very convivial festive board.
