Doubling Down In Dorset

unnamed

W Bro Dean Mortimer PPrJGD, currently enjoying his third spell as Worshipful Master of Lest We Forget Lodge No 7222, has raised the incredible amount of £10,506.65 for the Parkinson’s UK charity during 2022. We last reported on his charitable endeavours in March 2022 – sponsored bike ride

Dean is host of the Hunter’s Moon, in Middlemarsh near Sherborne, Dorset and decided to support the charity on hearing of the plight of a friend who had contracted the disease.  He discovered that several of his regulars were either sufferers or knew of people who were.

During the course the year, Dean undertook a 24hr static bike ride and hosted many social events and competitions in the pub. He is grateful to customers, friends, family, Lodge members, suppliers, local businesses, and complete strangers who have contributed to his amazing effort.

Spurred on by his success, Dean has decided to support Mind and The British Heart Foundation in 2023.  His next endeavour will be competing in the London 100-mile bike ride in May – Ride London
