CHAPS Is Coming To Town
The Men’s health charity CHAPS who carry out PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) testing in the Province will be returning in July 2026 to continue the regime for those who were considered at risk and form part of the recall programme. Equally, there will the opportunity for newer Brethren to register and become part of ongoing testing.
There has been much publicity recently regarding the possibility of the Government rolling out a national programme of PSA testing. Prostate cancer results in the death of many men each year and unlike breast cancer monitoring for women has no formal testing.
Dates have been arranged as follows:
HARROW – THURSDAY 9th July 10.00 -14.00
TWICKENHAM – THURSDAY 16th July 10.00 – 14.00.
A formal invitation to register for testing and any recalls will be sent a little later. For those who wish to have a PSA test for the first time, you will also have an opportunity to participate. Once you register it is important that you attend as it could be a matter of life or death. There are a few Middlesex Brethren who will testify to the fact that without the PSA test they may not be around to tell the tale.
So, watch this space and the registration information which will be advertised at the appropriate time.
This information is provided by W. Bro Stan Marut PPrJGD SLGR – CHAPS Ambassador to the Province of Middlesex.
