Jubilee Chapter No 8822 recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary at the Installation Convocation held on 10th January 2024. There were 67 companions in attendance and the event was marked by an official visit by the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal, E. Comp Peter de Wolfe PAGDC accompanied by the Provincial Escort Team. The attendees included 12 of the original founders and 2 of the consecrating officers.
Scribe E proceeded to give a brief history of the Chapter and the Founders and Consecrating Officers who were present were asked to stand and were warmly applauded. They were then presented to the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal, who thanked them for their efforts in establishing such a successful chapter.
Jubilee Chapter began with 30 Founder Members and has become, probably, the largest Chapter in Middlesex. Part of its success is due to having a regular Chapter of Improvement twice a month right from the very start. This has resulted in a high standard of ritual, and a friendly atmosphere at its meetings. The Chapter is also fortunate in still attracting a regular flow of new members.
During the meeting it was agreed to donate £2,500 to Middlesex Charities. The Festive Board collection then raised £580 (including Gift Aid) for McMillan Nurses.
