On Thursday, 13th February, the Old Masonians Middlesex Lodge No.7568 held a meeting at HDMC with a packed agenda. The ceremony began with a double raising, where Bro’s Shiv Pandian and Artaches Zakarian were elevated to the sublime degree by W Bro Rajesh Kavia, who performed the raising on behalf of the current Worshipful Master, W Bro John Brown PPrSGW.
The meeting was graced by the presence of W Bro Ian Ferguson PSGD, APGM, and his ProvDepGDC, W Bro Niall Sheehan. The APGM took the chair to present W Bro Robert Chicken with a certificate honoring his 50 years of service to the craft. Despite living in Scotland for the past 25 years, W Bro Robert has remained a loyal member and actively participates in Scottish craft Masonry.
W Bro Ian also presented a certificate to W Bro John Brown, honouring his 60 years of service to the craft. W Bro John has been a member of Old Masonians Middlesex for 60 years and was a past pupil of the Royal Masonic School for Boys in Bushey. Remarkably, he has only missed two meetings in his 60 years, both during the COVID restrictions.
The meeting was further honoured by the attendance of VO, W Bro Lindsay Read PPrSGD, W Bro Kanti Mistry, PAGDC ProvGTreas, and W Bro Marcus Moore, the current Worshipful Master of Old Masonians Lodge No.2700, who travelled from his home in France.
The evening concluded with a jovial festive board, where all attendees enjoyed a great time together.
