The Middlesex Ambassador Team — comprising W. Bros. Jim Owens, Richard Emerton, and David Calvert — arrived bright and early at TDMC around 9am on Saturday 21st June 2025 to begin setting up the gazebo and equipment in readiness for the day’s activities.

Blessed once again with fine weather, the team quickly set about unpacking and positioning the display in its now familiar spot on the lawn, just at the top of the path leading into the Centre.

They were soon joined by W. Bro. Keith Gregory, who leads the Ambassador initiative in Middlesex, along with senior Ambassadors W. Bros. John Leggett, Michael Emmet, and Iain Raymond. The intention was to hold an on-site Exhibition Team meeting — not in a boardroom, but in true practical fashion, working collaboratively to explore different ways of arranging the various materials and display items. Through trial and adjustment, the team refined the layout to ensure a more effective and visually appealing presence for future events. Photographs of the final setup were taken to serve as a useful reference, promoting consistency going forward.

Following their efforts, the team took a short break in the bar for a well-earned cup of tea and the chance to reflect on the morning’s work.

While this particular occasion didn’t yield much in the way of public engagement — footfall from the rugby crowd was regrettably low — the session proved highly productive in addressing some of the persistent setup challenges. The lessons learned will undoubtedly strengthen the team’s presence and efficiency at future events.
