An evening with Distinguished Brethren

On 10th October 2022, Cole Court, Twickenham, Middlesex, witnessed another illustrious assembly of The Middlesex Masters Lodge No 3420. Under the leadership of Worshipful Master W Bro Garry Foley PGStB, the Temple was brimming with 107 Brothers, each providing their own distinguished mark on the evening.

The air was distinctly positive with anticipation as the Director of Ceremonies orchestrated the grand entrances of Masonic stalwarts like, RW Bro David Cons PProvPGM , RW Bro Roger Croome QPM, PProProvGM, RW Bro David Ian Allan ProProvGM of Middlesex, and RW Bro Sir David Hugh Wootten DepGM, to name just a few. Each esteemed entry was punctuated by the impeccable form and spirited salutes from the gathered brethren.

Adding to the solemnity, the brethren took a poignant moment to remember their fellow Masons who had ascended to the Grand Lodge above since their last meeting. The Worshipful Master took pleasure in welcoming honoured guests from other prestigious Installed Master’s Lodges which included Jubilee Masters 2712, Essex Masters 3256, and Portsmouth and District Masters’ 5990, among others.

30 Joining Members

In the spirit of camaraderie, and with the diligent efforts of Secretary W Bro Rajesh Desai, the Lodge welcomed 30 new members, extending them the cherished Lodge By-laws and wishes of a fulfilling Masonic journey ahead. Meanwhile, anticipation brews for the 18 prospective members proposed for the next ballot. W. Bro Michael Edward Le Gray PSGD, PAProvGM was elected the next Worshipful Master and W Bro Chris Beavers PPrJGW as Treasurer.

But the pinnacle of the evening was the theatrical reenactment of an early 1750s Masonic meeting, brought to life by the talented Royal Arch demonstration team of Prince Michael of Kent Chapter No 9120. This spellbinding performance transported the brethren back in time, offering them a taste of Masonic traditions from centuries past.

As the evening’s Labour came to an end a touch of modernity was introduced with an emphasis on the Provincial website as a hub for Masonic events and updates, ensuring the brethren are always connected in this digital age.

Middlesex Masters Festive Board

There followed a hearty Festive Board, which encapsulates the spirit of unity and fraternity. These are the traits that the Middlesex Masters Lodge No 3420 epitomizes with every gathering.
