E. Comp Andy Pearce provides the following report;
“The Convocation of Chapter of Air Unity No 7445 which met on Monday 25th September 2023 at Cole Court was a very busy meeting with an Exaltation and the presentation of 50-year certificate.
The new Companion, Romel Catalan, is a Master Mason from Barra Hall Lodge No 8096 which is a feeder Lodge to the Chapter. 7 of the current 24 subscribing members of the Chapter being members of Barra Hall Lodge with most of the rest of the membership hailing from Lodge of Air Unity No 7445.
Although very nervous about the unknown ahead of him Companion Romel experienced a wonderful Ceremony. The MEZ E. Comp. Paul Bennett PProv2ndAsstGSoj, who is also the RA Rep for Barra Hall Lodge 8096, gave a fine rendition of the work in this degree works hard to promote the Order and gain new members.
A 50-year certificate was presented to Comp. Cheren Gerald Reginald Toms by the Chapter VO E. Comp. Paul Garner. Comp. Cheren had been exalted into the Chapter the day after a ceasefire agreement was signed bringing to an end the Vietnam War. Cheren’s father (Reg) was a founding member of the Chapter which was consecrated on 27th March 1972 and Cheren together with his brother Alan were both exalted on 24th January 1973 being the third and fourth Exaltees of the Chapter of Air Unity 7445 respectively.
This is a busy season for the Chapter who are due to Exalt another new Companion in January 2024. This will be W. Bro Brian Bolla the IPM of Barra Hall Lodge No 8096″. There most definitely seems to be Unity of Purpose between these two masonic units.
