A sense of eager anticipation filled the air at the 1870 Club—formerly the PGO Club—when it was announced that E. Comp. Rob King would be installed as the Third Provincial Grand Principal of Middlesex. The installation was to take place at the regular meeting of Richmond Chapter No. 2032 on Wednesday, 16th April 2025, with none other than the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E. Comp. David Allan, presiding.
What made this event particularly noteworthy was not only the high office being conferred but also the setting: Richmond Chapter is a private chapter, and such a distinguished ceremony within its walls promised to be a rare privilege.
When the evening arrived, the Twickenham District Masonic Centre was abuzz with brethren eager to witness the momentous occasion. Officers of the Provincial Grand Chapter entered the convocation with ceremonial dignity, proceeding to conduct the installation of E. Comp. Rob King with solemnity and honour.
Following the formalities of Provincial business, Richmond Chapter resumed its own proceedings. The Chapter then held its own Installation meeting, welcoming its new Principals: E. Comp. Brian Shailer as Zerubbabel, E. Comp. Neil Futerill as Haggai, and Comp. Robert Weare as Joshua.
As the evening drew to a close, Companions gathered for a well-supported and convivial Festive Board. The ME Grand Superintendent, his delegation, and the Escort Team joined the Chapter in what proved to be a most enjoyable and memorable occasion—an evening that will no doubt be long remembered in the annals of Middlesex Royal Arch Masonry.
Thankyou E.Comp Peter Edwards, ScribeE, Richmond Chapter 2032 for the writeup.
