In a heartwarming ceremony held at the historic Great Barn at Headstone Manor, W. Bro. David Woon Soong, a Past Master of Harmony Lodge No. 5835, was honoured with the Good Neighbour Award at the recent Harrow Community Heroes Awards.
This prestigious accolade recognises individuals who have gone above and beyond to support their local community, a role in which David has excelled over the years.
The event, attended by over 100 guests, including dignitaries, sponsors, and finalists, celebrated stories of courage, kindness, and dedication within the Harrow community.
Cllr David Perry, presented the Good Neighbour Award to David, commending him for his unwavering commitment.
“There are many people who rely on you, and to be relied upon is a great responsibility. It’s something that makes our community here in Harrow truly great,” said Cllr Perry during his speech.
David’s recognition is particularly meaningful to the Masonic community, as he continues to embody the principles of charity and brotherly love.
A long-standing member and Past Master of Harmony Lodge, which meets at the Harrow District Masonic Centre, David’s dedication to his neighbours has been acknowledged through several nominations over the years.
The evening was filled with inspiring moments, culminating in a rousing performance by the Indie Choir, which included renditions of “All The Small Things,” “One Day Like This,” and the fitting anthem, “Heroes.”
The Middlesex Provincial Grand Lodge congratulates W. Bro. David Woon Soong on this well-deserved honour and celebrates his contributions to the local community, both as a Freemason and as a proud resident of Harrow.
