Thames Valley Lodge No. 1460 extends sincere thanks to the Lodge of Aspiration No. 6086 for kindly conducting the Raising of Bro. Nino Capanzana as a Degree by Request. This was a meaningful evening for our Lodge, and the Brethren of Aspiration delivered the ceremony with dignity, accuracy and genuine warmth. It was a pleasure to witness such excellent work carried out in the best Masonic tradition.
We are particularly grateful to W.Bro. Brian Fisher, PSGD, PAPGM, PPGTr, SLGR, Secretary of Aspiration Lodge, whose efforts coordinating the arrangements between our two Lodges ensured everything ran smoothly. His support was invaluable and much appreciated by all involved.
The Worshipful Master of the Lodge of Aspiration, W.Bro. Stephen Goldberg, PPGSupWks, LGR, gave a superb delivery of the Traditional History, the Tracing Board and the Working Tools, bringing real clarity and meaning to the ceremony. We were also pleased to have the participation of W.Bro. Ian Rose, PPGReg, PProvGStwd, whose contribution at the Master’s invitation added greatly to the evening.
The ceremony was further honoured by the presence of the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Ian Ferguson, PSGD (Group 3). His attendance added a sense of occasion and reflected the strong bonds of support and unity across the Province.
As a gesture of appreciation, Thames Valley Lodge presented a small gift to the Worshipful Master, the Brethren of Aspiration Lodge and visiting Brethren. This token expressed our thanks for their help with the Degree by Request and also marked the 80th anniversary of Aspiration Lodge No. 6086.
The Festive Board that followed was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed. Good conversation, warm friendship and true Masonic fellowship made the evening one that will be remembered with great affection by both Lodges.
