Brother Justin Blacklaws, a former army veteran, is a member of Citadel Lodge No 1897. He wants to support the Charity Help for Heroes and on the 15th of March 2025, he’ll be taking part in one of the biggest challenges of his life: his first-ever 50K Ultra Marathon. This is a Marathon which even exceeds the regular athletics event of 26miles. This is 50k and is run over a distance of 31.1 miles. Brother Justin makes the following appeal to Middlesex Brethren to assist in helping raise £1000 to the Help for Heroes Charity.
“As a veteran, supporting our injured servicemen, servicewomen, and their families is a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. That’s why I’m running to raise funds for Help for Heroes, a charity dedicated to providing vital support to those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
My goal is to raise £1,000 plus to help ensure our heroes receive the care and opportunities they deserve. But I can’t do it without your support.
Whether it’s £1, £10, or simply sharing this post, every bit helps. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of these incredible individuals and their families.

Thank you for your generosity and encouragement as I prepare for this exciting and slightly nerve-wracking challenge. Let’s show our heroes they’re never forgotten.”
