CHAPS RECALL AT HARROW AND TWICKENHAM IN JULY.
Testing for Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) has been a feature whereby Middlesex Brethren have been able to have a simple blood test which might indicate prostate cancer. Over the last few years some tests have proven positive, and several individuals have been referred to their GPs for further consultation and directed to the local hospital for MRI scans. Cancer has been found and treatments applied successfully. Indeed, lives have been saved. The dates for call back are July 9th at Harrow and July 16th at Twickenham.
Some of those tested may have been recommended for call back after one, two or three years and CHAPS will once again host testing sessions at Harrow and Twickenham. These call backs will apply to those who will be invited for further testing to ensure that any abnormality is kept under surveillance. Brethren will be contacted by CHAPS directly and the links below will allow individuals to book in online. Once these initial bookings are confirmed and there are testing places available then there will an opportunity for Brethren who have not yet been tested to participate.
Please use the following links to book your slot:
Please read the instructions carefully on the form and when using the password please note that it is case sensitive. Meanwhile please wait for your recall invitation before trying to book your slot.
It is also important that if you book to have a PSA test on the recall you must turn up. Your life may depend on it.
The testing programme is generously supported by the Province of Middlesex Benevolent Fund so non attendance still has to be paid for and diverts financial resources which might otherwise be used for other charitable projects.
