On Thursday, 6th March, RW Bro David Allan, Pro Provincial Grand Master, visited Dene Place Care Home in West Horsley, Surrey, to present W Bro Roy Constable PGStB, PPDepGReg, with his 50-year certificate and pin badge.
W Bro Roy, a dedicated subscribing member of Prince Michael of Kent Lodge No. 9120, was joined by a small gathering of residents, his wife, and his two daughters for the occasion.
The visit held personal significance, as RW Bro David Allan recalled his own connection to the building, which, before becoming a care home, was once the residence of a close friend during his time as a student in Guildford.
W Bro Roy took the opportunity to reflect on his Masonic journey, sharing anecdotes from his decades of service and fundraising efforts. A highlight of the event was a video screening of his daring “double” sky dive, undertaken in support of the 2006 Festival. His efforts raised an impressive £3,000—a testament to his commitment to charitable giving.
Over the past 40 years, W Bro Roy has been a steadfast supporter of the Province, tirelessly raising funds for various causes through determination and ingenuity. His dedication has left a lasting impact, and his contributions are truly appreciated.
A heartfelt thank you to W Bro Roy for his many years of service and support.
