The Magnificent Seven-Teen at Kenelm Lodge

It wasn’t seven but a magnificent seventeen at Kenelm Lodge No. 8255, when members demonstrated their enthusiastic support for the Middlesex2031 Festival with the presentation of 17 Festival jewels.

W. Bro Alfie Buckland, Provincial Grand Charity Steward visited the Lodge on Tuesday 22 September, where he had the opportunity to speak to the Brethren about the Festival and the important contribution Middlesex Freemasons are making in support of Masonic charity.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of an impressive 17 Festival jewels to members of the Lodge, reflecting the enthusiasm with which Kenelm Lodge has embraced the Festival.

Special recognition was given to the Lodge Charity Steward, Bro Sorab Patel, whose enthusiasm and personal approach have helped encourage members to get behind the Middlesex2031 Festival. His hard work is clearly producing results, with so many Brethren choosing to demonstrate their support.

Alfie said:

“It was a real pleasure to spend time with the Brethren of Kenelm Lodge and particularly encouraging to see so many showing their support and commitment to the Festival.

“Every jewel represents another Brother joining us on this important journey, and every pledge, large or small, will help us towards achieving our Festival goal.”

The Middlesex2031 Festival is bringing Brethren from across the Province together to support the important work of Masonic charity, helping Freemasons, their families and the wider community.

With 17 jewels presented in one evening, Kenelm Lodge has certainly set an impressive example — and shown that when it comes to supporting the Festival, seven simply wouldn’t have been magnificent enough!
