The Regular Meeting of Barra Hall Lodge No. 8096, held on Friday 26 June 2026, was distinguished by a triple initiation, welcoming Bro. Edson Macalintal, Bro. Justine Abarca, and Bro. Michael Ang into the Craft.
The Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Fernando Lazaro, conducted the ceremony with confidence and dignity, leading the work up to and including the Communication of the Great Lights. He was then most ably supported by W.Bro. Gordon Gregory, PPrSGW, who delivered both the Entrustment and the North‑East Corner Charity Charge with his customary clarity and authority.
The Working Tools of an Entered Apprentice were presented by Bro. Angelo Doroteo, himself initiated in June 2025. This marked the second occasion on which Bro. Doroteo has presented the Tools in Open Lodge, and his delivery once again demonstrated assurance, understanding, and excellent preparation.
The Charge after Initiation was delivered by W.Bro. Joey Crisostomo, PPrGStB, whose well‑known “party piece” was executed with precision and warmth, adding greatly to the impact of the ceremony.
The Lodge was honoured by the presence of W.Bro. Peter Gledhill, PAGDC, who presented the newly‑made Brethren with their Initiates’ Packs and extended a sincere welcome to them on behalf of Middlesex Freemasonry.
Further strength was added to the evening by W.Bro. Rajesh Desai, Provincial Grand Mentor, and W.Bro. Steven Phillips, whose guidance ensured that the floor work throughout the ceremony was executed to a consistently high standard.
The combined efforts of all present produced a memorable and exemplary ceremony to begin the Masonic journeys of our three new Brethren.
The evening concluded with a highly convivial Festive Board, where the look of surprise on the faces of the newly‑made Brothers as they were introduced to Middlesex Fire was a delight to behold!
