Golden Jubilee Celebration and Distinguished Visit

On Tuesday 13 January 2026, Companions of Ruislip Chapter 4301 gathered for a memorable convocation marked by a distinguished Provincial visit and a remarkable milestone in Royal Arch Masonry.

The Chapter was honoured to receive the Deputy Grand Superintendent for the Province of Middlesex, Excellent Companion Howard Hughes, PGStdB, accompanied by his Provincial Escort. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a certificate to E.Comp Michael Freestone in recognition of his 50 years of dedicated service and membership in the Royal Arch. The Deputy Grand Superintendent spoke warmly of E.Comp Freestone’s longstanding commitment, offering congratulations on behalf of the Province and the wider Companionship.

Following the presentation, Excellent Companion Hughes delivered a fascinating and deeply moving address to the Chapter. Drawing on material shared with him by an expert on recipients of the Victoria Cross, he reflected on the extraordinary courage and circumstances surrounding those who have received the nation’s highest award for gallantry. His words resonated strongly with all present, providing both inspiration and thoughtful reflection.

The evening was a fitting celebration of service, history, and the enduring values of the Royal Arch.
