On the 19th of March 2026 the Lodge of Fidelity No 7974 carried out a triple initiation in The Norman Moore Temple at TDMC.
The three initiates Mr. Thaer Alhajji, Mr. Christopher Box and Mr. Cemil Simsek were all initiated by the Worshipful Master W. Bro Keith Sollitt ably assisted by W. Bro Kevin Stepney. This was also a very special occasion since it was fifty years ago that W. Bro Keith had first been installed in the chair of King Solomon.
The meeting had taken much planning to organize and many Lodges of Instruction to ensure the smooth running. Each initiate was brought into the Lodge separately to complete their individual obligations. Then they were taken around the Lodge together to complete the ceremony. There were a number of visitors to witness this special occasion, including Bro Paul Britton from the Builders Lodge No 177 who was visiting from Ottawa, Canada. The Lodge was also delighted to receive three Grand Officers at the meeting namely W. Bro Robert Rough, W. Bro John Legget and W. Bro Peter Gledhill. Apart from being present at the ceremony they all greeted the newly made brothers. W. Bro Peter Gledhill very kindly presented a Grand Lodge Certificate during the meeting to Bro Marwan Faddoul who had previously joined the lodge from the Scottish Constitution.
The visitors who also assisted in the meeting were W. Bro Steven Philips of Richmond Hill Lodge No 6698 and W. Bro Steven Bevis of Heston Lodge No 4888 the former standing in as Senior Deacon and the latter during the perambulations of the three newly obligated Brethren. W. Bro Ron Davidson from Osterley Lodge No 6430 also performed the “Penny Charge” to the new initiates in an excellent manor that was well received by all those present at the meeting.
The festive board was enjoyed by all and the three initiates who all dined on the top table and were introduced to Middlesex Fire, and gave a short speeches to the brethren that were warmly received.
