This Report from W. Bro Robert McClintock of Richmond Hill Lodge
Richmond Hill Lodge No 6698 held its regular meeting on Thursday 23rd January 25, which would be the last meeting of the masonic year 2024-25 with 103 attendees.
At the start of the meeting W. Bro Colin Howard had the pleasure of presenting two Grand Lodge Certificates to Brother Nick Simpson and Brother Christopher Britton both of whom had been Raised in 2024 as part of the Provincial Workshare Scheme. This assistance was provided by Middlesex Home Services Lodge No 5836 and Middlesex Armed Forces Lodge No 9940 respectively.
There followed a double Initiation ceremony for Bro Darren Palmer and Bro Anthony Jones. The meeting was also made special by the presence of the Lodge Visiting Officer, W. Bro Lindsey Read PProvAGDC, on his Official Visit representing the Pro Provincial Grand Master, together with a number of other visiting Grand Officers
The Ceremony was carried out by the Worshipful Master and his Officers in a very confident and sincere manner with a high standard of ritual being shown. The Working Tools were delivered by Bro Chris Britton and the Ancient Charge was presented by W. Bro Grant Baird both of which were presented in an excellent manner and much appreciated by all those present. W. Bro Lindsey Read VO, then formally welcome both Bro Darren and Bro Tony into Freemasonry and in particular Richmond Hill Lodge No 6698.

The Haggis Rules
There followed the largest Burns Night Supper Festive Board ever held by Richmond Hill Lodge in its 23 year history of holding these events. Some new and many old friends including members of the Lodge were entertained and dined in a splendid atmosphere. The Haggis was again piped in by W. Bro Mark Haynes and the Address to the Haggis was given by W. Bro Stuart Lochtie of Twickenham Lodge No 4278. Altogether there were some 33 different Lodges represented with many Brethren coming far and wide from other Provinces to meet old friends and make new ones. Memories of this fantastic annual event will be spreading far and wide as the Lodge looks forward to 2026 Burns event.
